Art festival mUkA, Tomsk, May, 31 - June, 2

Art festival mUkA in the beginning of summer season 2019 was held in Tomsk on the territory of old Gorokhov’s warehouses constructed by a famous Russian architect  in XIX c. The three day long event was supposed to attract public attention to national problems connected with negligence in terms of historical monuments. Young artists and creative people were engaged in the project helping to create and construct art objects on the topic.

The work “Destruction” contains of 8 watercolors depicting the building of warehouses. The series tell an imaginary story of the monument being destroyed with the course of time. Every part of the series is displaying a stage of the process of destruction - from the building in its current condition up to the day when only the basement is left. Watercolor technique  involves emotional aspect to the futuristic project.
